I feel like Megan Bontrager has read The Dark Tower and maybe likes it a lot. I love it a lot and that last section, there was something so Gunslinger about it. Super fun!!

I got 78-pages of this read today during some reading sprints! It's so good. I am feeling so bad for Rowan, right now!

Yeahhhh, there's no way this has a happy ending right!?
Things have gotten a little intense, a little panicked amongst the group. Ophelia seems to be keeping her head on straight for the most part.
I do worry about some of the others losing it though...

This is a slow burn, but I'm finding it very interesting.
The character work is great and I'm excited to see what a conclusion is going to look like for this story. I can't imagine it's going to be a happy ending, but we shall see!!

This has definitely captured my attention.
I'm sad I have to put it down for now, because I have adulting to do.
There are aspects of it that are definitely giving me The Hollow Places vibes by Kingfisher, so definitely recommend fans of that, check this out!!

Ooo, I like this narrator. Their voice is a little breathy, yet soothing.

Highly readable. I am entertained by the mystery, but equally by just the MCs life circumstances.

This is an interesting one for me.
I'm enjoying it, I definitely am, but it almost doesn't feel quite like an Emma Lord novel to me yet. It feels a little more serious, or heavy, than I am used to from her. Maybe I am not getting the level of witty banter, which i was expecting...not sure how to explain it. It's good, but not totally captivating me like I expected....

This is stressing me out!
These poor kids. I sort of feel like they need to run for it.
Their Dad would want them to save themselves.

Paul is the sketchiest of them all. I guess by the time you get to that point in the family tree, he's had everything given to him for so long. I had forgotten about what happened to the housekeeper...that's a bizarre case...

I'm really enjoying this.
If you're expecting a strict examination of the recent Murdaugh case, you may be disappointed as this is more of a four generation family history. It's interesting as heck though and def helps to set the stage for current events.

Intriguing start. Not sure how this girls toes just fell off, but maybe we'll find out...
Also, can't believe Theo actually went to her parent's house for dinner. Sometimes you just gotta know when to cut people out of your life 💯

Audiobook narrator is keeping me on my toes!

These initial chapters are creeping me out so much. I wish the kids would have turned back when they were walking down that never-ending trail in the woods. This town is freaking me out so much, I'd be willing to abandon ship and run for help!!

I wasn't really enamored with my current audiobook read, so I started this one to mix it up a bit. 30% in and I'm really enjoying it so far. I can tell this is gonna be quick!

Still finding this narrative style not comfortable, yet we forge ahead.
Bodies are dropping, so we'll see what happens.
