This is sadly a mixed bag for me. My first time experiencing that with a St. James. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but some aspects I find so interesting and then something will happen and I'll be rolling my eyes ((not in a fun way))...we'll see how the rest goes!

I wish this would have had a different set-up. It sort of set a not great one for me. I would actually have preferred, at this point, if the two main characters were actually detectives or something looking into the case.
It just didn't make sense to me that the police would be immediately jumping all over them as suspects. Like what? They found an injured woman and got her help = they're murderers? Bad start.

Why would they possibly assume that they were the killers?
That makes no sense to me why they would jump to that conclusion?
Because there is blood on their clothes, because they found a injured woman at the side of the road and helped get her to the hospital?

Well, that escalated quickly! And now, we're coming down...

I love how they are in an abandoned campground with a killer on the loose and there is still no sense of urgency. Hahahaha -- it's all who is gonna hook up with who, who is kissing who, whose feelings are getting hurt -- like can we play the match game later!? After we survive this!? LOL

I wanted more train atmosphere, you know what I mean?
Like I keep forgetting they're even on one. LOL

At first I was thinking this was too many perspectives, but I'm actually really into it. I find the premise interesting and so far I find all the character stories interesting. I'm interested to see where it goes from here!

Sort of as slow as watching paint dry, but I'm not giving up...

It's so funny how the sense of urgency is barely there.
There's literally a murderer in the woods and Olivia is crushing so hard over Jack it is like she barely notices! LOL

Soooo, what's the plan here?
Are we going to be getting more books with Robert Grim?
I really hope so. I love the sort of Mulder vibes he's bringing!
I would absolutely be down for more creepy mystery occurrences...

Once the two mains, Olivia and Reagan meet, it is easier to tell the perspectives apart. It's all come together for me now, but I am wondering why they aren't admitting to the people around them that they aren't who they think they are?

I'm sort of obsessed with this.
I love how TOH included a historical perspective to give the history of the ship. That's so interesting. We just had a section from like the 1700s when it turned into a plague ship and it was told through journal entries and I loved it! But the current perspective is also so interesting. The shadow cover-up reminding me of Stranger Things.

I'm so glad that it seems Rue is believing the right people in all this...

This, I feel like, and this is just my opinion, but is for a very niche market of film lovers, maybe even film students, but the films have to be Horror films. It really is a beautiful examination of that genre, and that genre amongst others; how it is treated, viewed, etc. I really enjoy that aspect, but this is quite subtle and slow and not necessarily what I was anticipating going in...

Love him. I'm still not feeling much from her. She's like a dead fish, just no energy from her...

I'm really enjoying this so far. I actually have no strong memory of Robert Grim from Hex, but I enjoy the way TOH has made the connections to that story. This is very interesting -- it reminds me a lot of the beginning of Sleeping Giants!

Will Morrison work with Greyson now? That could be fun. I don't know why he would, but maybe? He could be a double-agent...

I think the person we least suspect is behind a lot of this...

Unsurprisingly, loving this set-up and cast of characters. I know some people may disagree with this, but I'm so behind Lyla. I'm just totally vibing with her perspective.

This is like The Parent Trap meets Friday the 13th 😝🤣 I am living for it!!!
