Wow, this is actually pretty brilliant in its reinterpretation of Dracula. White's ideas make a lot of sense actually. I may never read the original source materials the same way again.

This is SUCH a disturbing set-up. It's so chilling and realistic. I think this is probably 80% of women's worst nightmare.

That scene with Ben and Jimmy -- horrifying.
That scene with Mark and Susan -- horrifying.

This reads so quickly. I am loving this audio experience. The full cast really sells the story and brings a certain level of authenticity to it which I'm not sure if I would have felt had I just read it with my eyes.

Poor Iris. I feel for her, but I still want to know everything about her mother and Goldaming...

Wait a minute...was Iris's mother a...no...that can't be...can it?

Wow, we've learned so much more in this one and I love how all of these pieces, even from past books, are coming together and starting to interact. We're 3-days from the eclipse!

I'm really enjoying Kelpy and Isabella's perspective together, it's helping to remind me of what's going on here. Also, enjoying Anna and Judy, but for different reasons. Their banter is engaging and I like how that is sort of setting up this mystery of who is killing the lunars.

Cute so far! I love when we get the body in the first chapter! So much time left for mystery solving. Liking Ally as a main character so far!

Starting to drag a bit now...

No clue what's happening, but I'm still enjoying the writing! LOL

Just cracked this open, and I haven't read the synopsis in so long, and I don't even know if it is mentioned in the synopsis, but so happy that like Lucy, is THE Lucy, Lucy Westenra. I'm gonna love this.

I'm slightly obsessed with this, NGL.
I love this cast of characters and their various relationships. I also love the seedy feel of the world. It's slightly complicated, but so good really.

No idea how this is going to escalate so dramatically...hahahaha

This is fun for me, because I already know where Jodie's love life ends up, so it's fun sort of going back and seeing how it was when she was single and being torn between Nathan and Tony! LOL

I'm liking the set-up so far.
I'm definitely intrigue and am excited to get further in this one!

I don't know why I am so into this type of story. It's like gangsters, peddling in dark or forbidden magic, and there are kingpins and underlings and they're always fighting against some sort of local establishment, whether it be a mayor, or sheriff, or other political individual. It shows the seedy underbelly of the city. There's a lot of vice. I guess it's just my jam; def not for everybody though...

How can a book with a cover this cute, but so not enjoyable...

OMG, these sex scenes are sooooooooo NOT my tastes.
I've now yelled, ewwwwwwww at my audiobook, at least a dozen times. Never do I want to read the descriptor 'lapping', nor anything about 'smooth, VEINY skin'



But to each their own!

I am still really enjoying this and still def feeling Ace of Spades vibes! We're starting to assemble our crew now to hopefully overthrow the current kingpin.
