This has gone to some unexpected places already! How fun!!

This has been such a compelling book. There was no way for me to predict whatever was coming next. Sure, I have had theories over the course of the story, but at every turn, Juliano has someone exceeded my expectations. So good!

Eleanor. I don't feel like she is as innocent and kind a person as some people tend to think. My heart goes more towards Theodora.

I am so engrossed in this.
At first it seemed a little disjointed, just the way it's told from the different perspectives and skips in time, but now that I am learning who everyone is and their roles, I'm pretty much obsessed.
I need to know what's going on on this island!

This is intricate, but I love the sense of dread and anticipation. Like, WTF is going on here...

I am loving this reread. Participated in a book club discussion on this earlier today which brought to mind a few new themes for me to consider. It's really such a well-written, classic gothic story.

This is def a quick read!

I started my reread of this one last night.
It's just such a perfect tone for the season.
I listened the audiobook the first time I picked this one up, but am now reading and annotating my own paperback copy.
I don't think my opinion will change on the way this one ended, but I'm happy to re-immerse myself in the atmosphere.

I've really enjoyed getting into this story today.
I sort of wish it was just two perspectives, Lana and her Mom, but nevertheless, I'm still super interested to discover what the truth is about Grace, and now Ellie's, disappearance.

I'm really enjoying this slow build.
It's hella different from what I've been reading lately, so it's sort of like a breath of fresh air!

This is so intriguing. I can't wait to get to the bottom of this mystery. How deep is Maggie in?

I'm not sure I really knew what this story was about. I didn't realize it was a new mom story. Those sometimes drive me nuts, but this one isn't so far, so that's a good sign! LOL

Some parts of this are dragging a little but, but overall I am loving the mystery and intrigue of this!

Still no murder? This seems a lot of set-up, as I still have no mystery to solve.

I'm really enjoying it. The vibes are all there that I look for in this type of story. I"m excited to wrap this up tomorrow and see what the conclusion is going to hold!
