I can't start a new book right now. I have to sit a while and consider James Tiptree Jr/Alice B Sheldon.

Loving this - just fascinating.

I am ambivalent towards bios, but Helen M told me I HAD to read this - and so had numerous other people - so...

You know what I like about the Twelve Planets? They're so damned easy to read.

There's a part of me that's just itching to set up a "read in 2012" shelf. That would be a bad idea before it actually is 2012, right?

If your book is 167 pages long, having an intro of 55 pages seems... odd.

It's pretty good. Gil seems to have got oooold...

Still absolutely in love with this. Valente writes such gorgeous prose, and her stories have me in paroxysms of delight. Hyperbole? yes, but only from me, not from her.

It is feeling a bit gimmicky. It's clever, but it's a bit too cock-sure - trying too hard basically. I really hope the next Shades of Grey is better than this.

This book has me swooning with joy. It's so delightfully written.

This book has me in stitches. He is so utterly ruthless in his demolition of arguments he finds facetious. This is a polemic, unashamed apologetics, and it is utterly convincing in its demonstration of how some Western historians and philosophers have basically lied about Europe's Christian heritage.

It's so PRETTY.

There are definite SF elements in what I thought was going to be a straight fantasy. Interesting.

Enjoying this way more than I had expected.

Is it wrong that so far I think this feels a lot like a Patrick Rothfuss book? that's not a bad thing, you understand.

I had forgotten how much I like Egan's work. Why did I not start this weeks ago??

yes I am onto the fourth book in less than a week. This one is a monster... although I am more than halfway through already...

OK. Of the bajillion books on my physical TBR pile, what next?

Have started Komarr. Wish I hadnt looked at the Miles chronology in the back of Memory...

I'm enjoying it ok, but unless something really cleverly dramatic happens I can't imagine caring about the rest of the series...
