Love Larsen's books. Always felt drawn to the Lusitania after my failed book report on it in 10th grade.

So thankful that I'm finally, at long last, almost done! Wow, did it get really bad really fast!

Wonderfully absurd

So hard to form opinions. Do I base it off being a novel, a book of philosophy, is this what the author thinks is really happening or is this some strange alternate reality?

Constantly switching back and forth with feelings of love/hate. The last chapter with Stadler was really good.

Conflicted. One minute I late it, then I love it. The introduction of a pirate helped save a story that was really going downhill. :-p

The most enjoyable the book has been in quite a while.

Even though they're all caricatures (the robotic husband, manipulative wife, nagging mother, freeloading brother), I do like the Rearden family scenes. That's really the only thing I'm enjoying.

When Reardon's wife isn't in it, I'm pretty much bored to death. D'Anconio's two or three page rant was beyond preposterous.

Really liked it in the beginning but now I'm kind of hating it. Nothing but rambling from the stupidest characters imaginable.

So many inane characters babbling on and on. I wish they'd focus more on Reardon and his family.

I thought it started strong, but this "romance" has gotten nauseatingly bad. I'm actually starting to get annoyed, and I'm not even 1/3 of the way through the book yet.

I like when there's dialogue, but the ridiculously long train ride was way too much.

Interesting, especially when the focus is on Reardon and his family.

Odd book. A lot of claptrap discussion, yet I really like it so far.

The last chapter was really long but I liked it.
