I keep waiting for Jason to appear at the Fellowship, though that might have only been added for the show and not be part of the books. I'm not getting a gay vibe from Steve thus far.

Love it. It's fun reading a scene (such as the scene in the woods) and remembering it from True Blood. I didn't realize the novel named any brands of the synthetic drink, though.

David is starting Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse, #2)
Excited to get started, though it's weird knowing a character who lived through most/all the TV show dies in this one.

At the "About the author" page. Just about to finish up. I enjoyed it. Not sure why I disliked it so much way back when.

With only a little over 50 pages left, I'm curious how it's going to end. A lot of set-up for the future books in the series and there's not much time for much action.

The action isn't always described well and ends abruptly. I wish there was more characterization. Also thought it was weird Eragon was surprised the Urgals are working for the King when I just always assumed that.

I wasn't expecting that particular event, but the plot twist leading up to it was easy to spot 200 pages ago.

It's nice to see a few new characters, but Eragon is about to leave the city again, which means back to only 3. Now that I think about it, I'm starting to wonder if Brom might be the Shade at the start of the book.

I do wish there were more characters (it's mostly just three characters traveling) but I do like the "world" Paolini created. I'm not sure why I hated it when I tried reading it when it first came out.

Some of the dialogue doesn't feel quite right and the writing does feel a bit amateurish, but I'm very interested in the story.

Tried reading it about 10 years ago but hated it and stopped. Thus far I'm actually enjoying it.

Definitely farther than I ever made it. I knew a character would be resurrected even 10 years ago when I first read it, but I only just now made it to the scene where it actually happens.

Even with no Mogweed in the longest time, I'm loving it. I don't think I ever actually finished this one, though, as not much seems familiar.
