Just got home from my wife's family's Christmas family gathering. It was fun, but exhausting.

I love this book more each time I read it. I might have to change the rating to 5 stars.

It is going into some serious territory, and I can relate it to my own experiences as well.

This book is hilarious. I love it.

I'm really liking this one, so far. Also some segments are really cool. I feel like I'm reading a documentary narrative in some chapters. Not gonna lie, this is gonna be a weird book, but I think it's a good kind, and I think I'm gonna love it.

I enjoyed Sputnik Sweetheart, so I'm optimistic.

Most of the characters were idiots, but I lol'd at Elizabeth's and Margaret's shade in letters to each other. Seems Elizabeth learned from her mum.

Shit just got real.

On another note, Snorlax is really cute. One of my fave pokemons, actually.

So much conflict would have been avoided if both sides learned to compromise. Whatevs.

I don't know that much about Feng Shui, but it's interesting.

So far, I don't put too much stock in it. It's like yeah, I can't afford to move or re-built my apartment building, at this moment of my life. :P

The author seems very knowledgeable about the subject, I will give her that.

I kinda lost this book in my room last week, but now I found it. Thankfully, since this is a library book.

Wow, internalized misogyny is strong in the author. Also, gender/sexuality/relationships are much more complex than she is stating in her intro. Also she quotes men are from mars, women are from venus. Riiight.

Cool story time, when I was living in upstate ny, my parents were gone for the weekend, and I was at work, and I thought at random that I left the stove on. So I texted my then (long-distance) gf to call my house to see if the answering machine was still working. It was. LOL

Lilian was my fave VC Andrews heroine, not gonna lie, at least in this book.

Oh you horrid wretched man, blaming Lilian's pregnancy on her dead boyfriend who she didn't even have sex with. *gets gelding shears*

Massive trigger warning: Lilian just got raped by her uncle (who raised her like his own daughter). I feel really upset right now. I want to finish this book, so I'm just gonna skim.

This is so wrong. I'm actually pretty squicked right now.

Also Emily is a mega ultra sociopath, and it sucks that almost everyone is turning a blind eye. She makes my bb, Bellatrix, look like a sane rational person.

Wow, this book is really fucked up, but I'm enjoying it. I can see why Lilian turned into uber mega bitch, doesn't justify it, but I can understand.
