Today, so far, I had coffee (I rarely drink coffee anymore, so this is making me really hyper), went to the library to return and pick up books. Saw they had a massive book sale, and well, couldn't resist. 9 books and 1 vhs movie for $10. SCORE!

Everyone's being so pearl clutching involving voodoo that Ruby does to try to save her family.

Pearl's self righteousness is getting a little too much for me in one day.

I was looking for a gif/jpg form of the quote from the movie Gingersnaps, where someone calls Bee's friend a Cherry Hound, because that is what this guy looks like so far.

✔ Creepy Doctor Intern who abuses his power

Also LOL @ the out-dated use of "Frigidity".

When was this book written/set in?

This was written in 1995, according to my copy.

He also said she should be a doctor's wife not a doctor because she was too pretty. LOL what a winner.

Random: Sometimes I go through my Goodreads Recommends(TM) and I think GR is at a loss. I get the weirdest (and most awesome reccs). Sometimes snarking material and stuff I really want (sometimes a mix of both). I guess it is an accurate representation of my odd bookshelves. :P

Today, we went to watch Mockingjay for our anniversary. OMG. Just. Wow. JLaw can really emote on screen. I was crying for most of the movie.

So who else has seen it? I wanna talk about it. [Remember spoiler tags.]

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it in America.

I honestly don't celebrate it, unless I'm with my family that does, and I'm vegetarian, so, it's kinda something I don't do. I am thankful for what I have, and I feast (I take every opportunity to do so), but I find it hard to fully celebrate this holiday because of the history behind it. http://indiancountrytodaymedianetwork...

Billie is being all pearl clutching and judgmental about both abortion and back-alley abortions. So she is perfectly happy risking her life for other people's greed. She really thinks it's too soon to have another child. Her doctor recommends she gets a clinical abortion.

Team Thad all the way! The hero's best buddy loves Billie more than the hero does. She should have gotten with him instead.

Is the author foreshadowing Billie's (the heroine) death if she gives birth to another baby?

Billie,

She is one of the most passive heroines ever.

I just got back from an urgent care clinic, I might have a staph infection. yup. :/ I'm in a lot of pain, but I'm going to live :P <spoiler>I'm using heat compresses, taking antibiotics for 10 days, and keeping the area where my abscessed boil is clean. I will have to go back to the clinic later this week to see if it has to be lanced, and if it really is staph. ibuprofen is my best friend right now.</spoiler>

Rage was really fucked up, but it was okay. You can see how King has grown as a writer since then. I enjoyed this, oddly.
