Going to re-read these so that I can read the 6th installment.

So glad I was right about my earlier prediction!

Burst into my colleague’s classroom thinking she’d love this book…turns out she’s already read it. And also loved it.

I’m enjoying how many passages I have to mark due to the prose.

Absolutely wonderful and super fun even though I’m only 12 pages into it!

“Lada’s face twisted into a smile that a wolf would envy.” (139)

“She looked sharp, contrary, and sly. Hers was the face of a fox raiding the livestock.” (105)

“The man was fat. Tiny purple veins painted his face, webbing out from around his nose. His eyes were watery, his jaw weak, his fingers strained around too-tight rings.” (100)

Forgot how much I love White’s writing! This is some great prose!

Still trying to find a good replacement for Goodreads, but here I am, once again (hopefully not torn into pieces).

Reading this at the request of my coworker (you know who you are) since I can tell she’s dying to talk about it. And because Day is “dreamy” (I’d have to agree with her on this point).
