Oh my god I hate America. (That statement lol) but seriously, how can she not sympathize with the girl who just got screwed over and totally disrespected? How can she just accept Travis's disgusting behavior? Ugh I have so many problems with this book.

Can I get some sort of explanation for the hostility between homegirl and her roommate. The animosity just makes Abby look like a mean girl (bitch).

Okay, I think I just hit the scene that has people questioning this relationship (questions of abuse). And all I'm thinking is why. Why. Why. Why was that reaction necessary? They got REALLY physical... it should have never gotten to that point. My only hope is that it serves a purpose. That Lake can think about her mom's questions about relationships and see that he did in fact disrespect her in that moment...

Just finished the second chapter, and it feels like I finished the book. I know there's a twist coming, so I'm looking forward to continuing, but I like how resolved that chapter ending felt. All the loose ends tied up. Nice.

ohmygod soooo funny. This is a delightful book. Only dislikes: the sentence structure is weird sometimes, almost chunky and unnatural; and it's a little preachy at points, but that probably gets better by the end. I'm sure it's like necessary at this point. But I love this.

first off: Noah isn't over-protective, he's downright abusive and oppressive.

second off: the dialogue is cringe-worthy

third off: I hate myself for paying for this

fourth off: homegirl keeps getting herself in these predicaments where she might be ogled by guys and it's... just ugh. She's like 'oh damn it I got paint all down my blouse, let me just unbutton it in the middle of the hallway.'

For all the elements that I hate, it's doing a pretty good job of using them to its advantage. It being the story.

At the part where she's stuck at Judd's again. Put reader in situation. Give them hope. Make them anxious because they know it can't last. Then totally dash their hopes. Let her go. Bring her back.

Dude, this just keeps getting worse. It's like 80 attempts at the same freaking book. And I know myself toooo well to already know that I'm gonna flipping read every single attempt. Damn it.

Okay, I'm getting into it now. Just a note: Kasie West is definitely a sarcastic person, or she must wish she was. Literally all her leads are sarcastic as hell

Ugh. I feel like I should have stopped while I was ahead on this Kasie West binge. I'm pretty sure I read a review of this book where someone said they've outgrown Kasie West and the first chapter of this book is making me think that exact thing. This one feels extra... white. Idk

This book has good momentum. Let's hope it keeps up

I'm really taking my time with this book. I think it's appropriate, because it's a pretty slow read (I mean it's entitled 'what happens now'). It gets boring easily, but I guess sometimes it's got a nice comforting presence.
