At 2% thinking, what is my issue with this book, because I definitely feel some sort of way? What is it? What is itttttt? Oh, it's trying way too hard to be funny.

I think I'm having a hard time getting into this book because I don't know what she wants. There's no clear motive or... Maybe I just forgot what it is during my hiatus.

I have never related to so much in a book before. I've never been able to relate to the humor in a book so much before. Wow.

I don't know, ok? It's really hard to sympathize with a girl who is dwelling over a racist--or at least a guy who doesn't stand up to racists and then blames his black girlfriend for expecting him to. -_-

It's been a really long time since I've tried reading this book. I just reached the third chapter and I'm getting a three star vibe. There are some grammar issues, which are annoying, and stylistic choices that are also annoying, like how there are dialogue tags after every speaker speaks. Really takes away from the flow.

Print Shop by Nina Lacour: it tried, but it couldn't capture my heart or much of my attention. 2 stars.

Just finished the first short, the one about the bathroom lock in, the one with the premise that sounded the most interesting to me, in all honesty (Siege Etiquette--Katie Cotugno). And unfortunately, I'm a bit disappointed. It wasn't bad. It was just a bit underwhelming. And Hailey wasn't all that likeable. And there wasn't much redemption for her at all. I shall read on.

I really like this book. Okay? I really like it. But my excitement for it has died down a bit ever since things have been working out. As sad as that is. The beginning had so much momentum, but now that they're falling in love, shamelessly, I wouldn't say I've lost interest. No, I'm still very interested and it's still very good. I'm just not AS excited to pick it back up. But that won't dock it a star or anything.

I'm having a hard time separating A from mind and body--figuring out what exactly A is. If A isn't in the mind, if A doesn't have influence over synapses and neurotransmitters... then like, what does A control? How do you separate thoughts from the brain? I don't... understand this

It is the intimate details that help you get to know a character, help you connect and help you settle into a story. This story lacks those intimate details...

Reading Rainbow is like... being home. She makes me so damn comfortable. Instantly. So instantly. She makes me feel less guilty about reading at work.

This is weird. The atmosphere is kind of dark and uninviting. I don't think I like it too much, but I'm gonna keep reading.

Listen, I don't know what I'm supposed to expect from this book. Certainly, there's no reason for me to expect less than... I don't know, professionalism. It's a new adult book. The standards weren't lowered because of the audience's age, so then why, why is this so shallow? So amateur? So poorly executed?

Reading this book is like reading Kasie West, but for a new age audience. And that's nothing against Kasie West. I like Kasie. Her writing is appropriate for young adults, but ugh. This being about people in their twenties, you'd think these characters would have more depth and... maturity. Who's about to be the youngest CEO in the world? Surely not this guy. Hopefully not. Choose someone else! He's not ready!
