Ah finally

"I must freeze my heart to the one person who insists on setting it ablaze." She talks about Cal like they have a lot of strong feelings for each other but the writing really doesn't portray that. It's throwing me off.

Can someone tell me if Cal and Mare makeout at all in this book? Any scenes with some sexual tension? Is there any complex character interaction or is it just "meaningful stares" and "subtle arm grabbing"

This is all very repetitive. Mare thinks the same things over and over. She seems to think she's more important than she actually is. Or maybe she is important and I'm just missing the point. Does anyone else think her power really isn't that great? I feel like there are many other powers that could beat hers. Something needs to happen soon. Whether it's an shocking death or some relationship developments idc.

The way Mare is written is a little cheesy. She's like too intense, kind of dramatic. It's weird lol
