'Passing the Torch'

Enjoyable despite my not completely understanding the full picture, concerning an unwitting Friendly looking after presumably a retired and dying Agent, as well as the curious bags full of organic slurry he finds

'Friendly Advice'

A good story, though I'm a sucker for the Yith. The character of Eiko was laid on a bit thick and campy too, but no great matter.

'Pluperfect'

Not terribly heavy on the mythos, but an interesting framing device in the repeating, drugged interrogation.

'A Question of Memory'

A nice, short piece that toys with the relationship between the author and the narrative.

'The Mirror Maze'

Not terribly meaty, almost brushed over, but with a few scenes of quality. Concerning the recruitment of a friendly into the fold.

'Morning in America'

Huh. Well I think I totally missed the mark with that story, not sure I grasped exactly what was going on there. Accordingly, it felt very lacklustre for me. Oh well.

'Dark'

Not as compelling or interesting as many of the others stories so far, a stooge is unwittingly roped into a night at the Opera and things so predictably bad.

'The Perplexing Demise of Stooge Wilson'

Briefer and less overt with its depictions of the results of madness, this story is unlike most others in DG canon if for nothing other than its being set in Japan. I'm left wondering if the 'happiness drvice' was something similar to that which stimulates the pineal gland in From Beyond?

'Utopia'

The epilogue to the story's natural ending was interesting and appreciated. It's one thing to show the cult and their insane practices, as well as its end, but to show the mopping up afterwards in such a fashion!

Phew! What a ride.

LOG ENTRY: SOL 61 Howcome Aquaman can control whales? They're mammals! Makes no sense.

'Ganzfeld Gate'

Another incredibly solid story. This one about the repercussions of the horrors experienced by soldiers in the great secret war many many years later. It features a protagonist and the decision he has to make between loyalty to his friend and fellow soldier and loyalty to the cause.

'Cracks in the Door'

Wow! That was an intense story. Double and triple-agents, drugs that reveal the 'truth' of Shub-Niggurath, and an entire French town fallen to the effects of those drugs.

'Le Pain Maudit'

A very cloak-and-dagger manhunt for a disappeared German through post-war Paris. The literally infectious 'idea' reminds me of the Yellow Sign, but certainly appears to be a different entity altogether.
