Yeah, once again I pegged the ending long before the reveal. I can't help but feel I'm robbing myself of a crucial part of the experience when this happens. Oh well. I'm into reading the appendices now, which have been of varying quality but generally enjoyable - for their quirkiness if not for their other inherent values.

This story is very unlike the others, and I think I've got the twist ending worked out, but I'm loving it. It's all postmodern with the way it blurs the line between reality and fiction, and I'm enjoying the confusing ambiguity. Very powerful.

I'm all set to start the forth and final story, 'The Strange Case of X'.

The third story started rather uninterestingly, but I'm enjoying it more and more. It reminds me of House of Leaves in that it alternates between a chapter of narrative progression and a chapter from the biography of the main character, written after the events 'currently' taking place.

The second story is very enjoyable. It is presented as a tourist's guide to the early history of Ambergris, and I've actually laughed aloud a few times.

The first story was alright. I think it was *supposed* to have a twist ending... but I'd realised the twist in the first few pages :\

The titular story was good enough, but I'm skeptical of the others. We shall see.

Reading 'The Street of The First Shell'. It's predictably boring and more than a little difficult to follow.
