enjoying this, kind of slow start but the sciencey backbone of the story and it's relationship to how the protagonist sees the world is engaging

honestly johnny's narrative is...really powerful for me, especially as someone who has struggled with articulating trauma but has no way to cope with it other than through self inflicted violence/indulgent behaviors until i learned better. i understand hes unlikeable on the surface, but i really wish people empathized with his narrative a little more.

like a smacked out carnival tour of hell with dialogue and writing that is genuinely the closest ive ever seen to replicating hypnagogia. love how brazenly disdainful this is of american values and "decency". fucking undisciplined cells!
