Been flying through this book as if it were nothing!

40 pages in and I already kinda ship Killeen and Dougal. Damn my shipping heart.

This thing with someone making demon kids is a little crazy. Who even knew that, in the detail they seem to? All of Valentine's closest associates are dead, or so I thought.

Well, I imagine this means they're bringing Magnus back. In all honesty, I both missed him and didn't. As funny as he can be, he wasn't necessary. Neither was Alec. It should be interesting how they react to their vacation interrupted.

A couple comments, first, I'm wondering if the author meant for this book to be the last. Everything is tied up in a nice neat bow. Jace and Clary are together, Simon's got two gal pals and is fine with Jace and Clary, Alec is with Magnus, etc.

That's quite the beginning you've got there.

Also, every single time Jace and Clary almost talk, SIMON would interrupt. SERIOUSLY. Jace and Clary NEED a heart to heart scene, and not a fight.

IS SIMON REALLY DEAD?! Wow, if he is, that's crazy. Although given the pattern I'm seeing, he could easily just pop up and be like, "Guess what? I'm alive!". Then people would be worried he was a spy or something.

Also, I really want for there to be a scene where Jace and Clary really talk about everything. I don't know if that's plausible or not, but I feel like if they don't have that scene or something like it, things could get quickly out of hand. Plus, I'd love to see how that's written.

The incest is getting a little weird at this point. I will admit, I wanted them together during the first book. Then that twist at the end caught me, and many others I'd think, by surprise. I guess Clary really is dealing with this the same way any teenage girl might.

PRETTY sure by this point Clary is Valentine's daughter. Could easily be wrong, though.

Quite the beginning. I can't tell if it's meant to be dystopian (or other worldy) or not. I don't think so, but from what is being described, I wouldn't be surprised if you made the mistake. It's also a little fast paced, but that adds effect.

This book was gripping, no doubt about it, but it's not my favorite of hers. The part where Minka is telling her story I admit to having skimmed. This is partly due to the details that didn't grip me, and the overwhelming emotions involved in the story.

This is interesting already, we'll see where this goes.

By the end of this book, I hate Luke Warren. I don't feel much sadness at his death, except for his children. I know that's a little harsh, but really. This was not a good man.

Oh Edward... Cara ain't ever gonna trust you again after what you pulled. What were you thinking? Pulling the plug yourself would just make it worse! It already has!
