This has such an amazing rating, and I'm struggling so much to get through it. I hesitate to say that it's the book's fault, since I'm in a strange/busy period of my life. It very well could be me. The book has all the right pieces, I'm just not wanting to sit down and spend time on it. I'll keep plugging away, since I probably won't regret it.

I'm slow finishing this because I've been listening obsessively to The Adventure Zone and because life gets in my way, but it's not the book's fault. So far it's an excellent look at the results of fame and what that kind of experience can do to a person. Really enjoying it.

Cat Rector is on page 41 of 448 of The Well of Loneliness

This is a slow burn book, but it's very interesting. I thought it would be simply a story of a woman who loves women, but in fact it also appears to be about a woman who feels masculine and might even be exhibiting signs of dysphoria as a child. The descriptions seem so very real that I can't imagine them being anything but autobiographical in nature. Very intriguing.

I started rereading this to see if I would still enjoy it as much as I did when I was younger, and I must say that I'm still in love with the writing. It's sharp and full of feminist sass. I'm still on the lookout for the problematic things other reviewers have pointed out, but so far I'm having a fantastic time <3

I'm torn a little by this book. I'm not nearly far enough to say for sure how I feel. Some of her points are fantastic, but nothing I don't already know. And I have yet to find a book/show/movie that she's referenced that I have consumed, which tends to leave me not caring that deeply for some of the essays. I'm looking forward to continuing on to see what else the book has to offer.

I'm really enjoying this. The writing style is a bit odd, but once you realize that each style is specific to a character, you start to appreciate it. Honestly, the Sea is probably my favourite so far XD
