I guess you can tell I like this book if I ordered Anna Campbell's earlier books through PBS? This book is very good. Love the interaction btwn Toni and Ranelaw.

Ok, I LOVE the characters in this book. Nothing makes me happier than liking a character when only reading a few pages. Very few authors can do this! Great start.

I wasn't crazy about the UF I just finished (good but not a wow book). Thought I'd give this one a try!

Anybody that finished this book- were you confused by the world, mythology, terms or is it just me?

This book needs better explanations for the mythology. It's very confusing & I keep waiting for explanation.

I can't just be reading one book right now (audiobook doesn't count) so I'm adding this one to my "currently reading" list.

Lovin this book, reminds me of alot of my favorite PR/UF books but it still has some good stuff in it and a good story line. It's nice to be reading paranormal again!

Ok, something bothers me. I personally don't see Annie as a woman yet because of her lack of experience w/ the world and her "innocence". Alex's "interest" in her includes feeling anger, guilt, pity, love & here is the big one... lust. I find at this point in the story, it almost pervese (is that how you spell it..lol). almost sexual predator like. Am I wrong to think that?

I have to double-check but I would bet the author wrote poetry at some point in her career...

Ok, I change what I said, slightly confusing POV still. I had to go back once to double-check to make sure I knew which POV I was reading.

I have to admit, I'm very surprised by this book. I didn't know what to expect. It has a look of a paranormal book but it isn't. I'm usually not too fond of mysteries but I love this so far. The changing POV take a bit to get used to but once you do, it is a really good read.

Why is it I find the thought of Lord John fantasizing about Jamie highly erotic? Loved when Willie ended up literally IN the outhouse.

First, thank you to all my GR friends who recommended this. It is truly a wonderful book. 2nd, it such a heartbreaking but beautiful book. When Alex discovers what Annie actually knows and how intelligent she really is, I want to jump for joy! Oh and the maid, she is wonderful. I really can't stop reading this one. I had a hard time putting it down.

My niece is deaf. She reads lips and does not sign. I swear my heart is going to break in two. I keep thinking about how tragic it would be to be raised with any type of different ability during this time(not a disability- try to tell my niece that being deaf is a disability and she'll put you in your place).

You evil creatures! I couldn't stop reading this book. I already cried. What they do to Annie, it is so sad. How can they think she is a moron, she is deaf. Alex's brother deserves to have his pubic hair pulled one by one slowely and then his balls tied around a lamp post! Ok, I'm done ranting.

Ok, so I was going to read a paranormal but since I seem to have paranormal PMS lately, I'm going with what my GR friends call an excellent read.

I am the luckiest boss in the world. I came in today and my office was decorated from top to bottom. I couldn't even see my desk. They did this after I left yesterday so I would be surprised when I walked in this morning since I'm the first one in. Of course, how I'm going to clean up a billion little pieces of confetti is another story!
