Dual POV of a mother and daughter, both at the same age of life. Both are as opposite as can be.
I can't help but be connected to both the POVs because of Colleen's fabulous writing.
I picked up this book to feel a connection with my own late mother. (It still feels weird to call my mother that, even after 18 days)

Chap 5:
1) We are rubber bands. We can stretch ourselves, but only so far.
2) Our conditioned fears are only suppressed by frontal cortex but amygdala is still excited. We never stop being stimulated by it, we just learnt to know its not life-or-death.
3) Our preferred exposure to stimulation is called sweet spot.
4) Desensitize our amygdala by doing it over and over again until it becomes manageable.

Going quite good so far! The start had me a bit confused but now i'm getting the hang of their world.

Finally it has started to get interesting after crossing the half mark.

Surprisingly unlike its first book, this is going very poorly. I am bored out of my mind.

Chapter 1 done. Listening to audio book narrated by Obama herself. It's a very intimate account of her childhood. The writing makes you feel like you're there beside her living it. Michelle narrates the story in a soft voice like a mother reading her child a bed time story.

Getting real exciting! Murder mysteries with a tough girl in the midst of it

Finally! The last battle begins! Down to last 2 chapters.

At 70%, this story is feeling like a drag now
