Republic of Heaven - meh. I skimmed a bit. Who the hell considers Jane Eyre a childrens book?

God and Dust - Interesting for both view of author and his reading of His Dark Materials, but also interesting aside on role of "psychological resonance" in institutional racism. (As a sort of feedback loop amplifying cultural tendencies that might seem quite minor on their own.) It doesn't really match my reading of the term, but an interesting idea nevertheless.

Farm boy's first visit to market, SF edition. This is sooooo bad.

I doubt very much I will finish this, the writing is unbelievably bad. I'm shocked this wasn't self-published. The story so far is like some kind of cartoon dystopia meets Firefly, which alone would probably have made me discard it by now, but it's like a slow motion trainwreck, I can't look away.

I wish amazon would stop randomly changing my default device.
