I'm already zoning out. This doesn't bode well for a good review.

It's sort of amazing to hear and recognize the names of places that Dorothy has trod!

It's definitely addicting and sucks you in quickly. I just need a full free afternoon/evening to finish it.

I don't see it often in YA books but when I do, I have to give props. Abuse of any kind is not cool. There's no excuse. I really hope Hana gives Fred his comeuppance!

Seriously?! You have no idea why Alex left? You can't fathom why him and Julian were fighting? I get you're new to relationships, Lena, but come on! You're just being dense at this point.

I like Hana. I even somewhat get what the author is trying to do with her POV. But still, I don't really care that much. The switch keeps pulling me out of the story and I find myself wanting to skip her chapters. Hopefully that'll change soon because my opinion of this one is dropping.

So I read the little short story about what's been going on with Alex since the first book. I get it. He's butthurt and heartbroken. Yes, he's being a jerk but what do you expect.

From page 1 of 'Unearthly', I've been Team Christian. Tucker is great and all, but I just don't feel it. So Hand is finally going to give me what I've wanted for the past two books only to rip it away. I know this because I'm a dork and indulge in spoilers occasionally. Guess I'll enjoy my fantasy while it lasts.....

I can't with this one right now. I'm having trouble getting into the story and I feel like the author is trying too hard to convince me Dru is a disgruntled tomboy. I'll read the next in my TBR pile and then come back to it. Maybe (hopefully) it's just the mood I'm in affecting my opinion.

Not sure how I'm feeling about these "Then" and "Now" chapters..... :/

Yeah, don't know why this got added at "Currently Reading" so early. I'm just now picking it up.

This is killing me! I'm falling in love with Dan and Stella but I know they don't end up together. I want to know why but I also want to stay in this happy little moment. :(

We'll eventually finish it. It's so hard to find time to read together though. At least it's good.

So far so good. It's pretty cool learning how interconnected these three guys were and how the small world of flying was pushed to forefront. With my husband in the USAF, we hear these names but truly don't understand how much they contributed. Not to mention where the beginnings of Lockheed-Martin, American Airlines, and 4 wheel antilock brakes, among numerous other notable names and inventions started.

It's starting to get good between Luke and Sophia but at half way through, when will they find poor Ira?

My first ever Nicholas Sparks book. I'm really just reading it so I can watch the movie (I'm weird like that). I'm really only watching the movie for Alan Alda and Scot Eastwood. So yeah, there's that.

Apparently Ms. Kenyon has a pseudonym. Let's see if this is as good as her DH series (which I LOVE!). However, I'm thinking points should be taken off for the cheesy romance cover...

1) Did the author really have to kill him? I mean, he pissed me off and all but the side of his head bashed in by Indians? That's brutal.

2) I've always found amazing how characters can just "know" that that specific ONE time got them pregnant. I wish it was that easy in real life!

(The ladies of the fort discussing whether or not Daniel Boone took a squaw as his wife (mind you, he's already married) while being held captive by the Indians):

"He could have," Elvie said instantly. "Law me, Sara honey, a man don't have his brain - nor his heart - betwixt his legs. There are times when what he's got down there does just as it pleases."

I'm so happy I wasn't alive in 1777. Rick would be dead!

I haven't been able to read much with being on vacation and reading to Rick but so far it's been interesting. It reminds me of those long, sweeping novels I read back in high school (re: 'My Antonia'). Not terribly exciting, more of a plodding unfurling of the story and the characters' lives, but capturing your attention nonetheless.

I was enjoying this book until now. A 17 year old boy has to have sex with a teen girl that was formerly used as a sex slave to unlock his powers. All because a magician flipped her curse and linked them in the process. Umm... WTF?!
