Why did I wait so long to read book 2? Enjoying it so much!

Oh, the Forbidden Birding of the Korean DMZ sounds so tantalizing!

I 100% yield his actual point that the Brits are on the whole weird about their Ordinance Survey maps, but in specific: maaaaan you never spent time around American geology undergraduates, did you, Mr. Winchester?! I wanted to DECORATE with those quadrangle maps!

This business of nomadic peoples astonishing themselves by the discovery they can PLANT a PLANT instead of just happening upon it reads very much as a just-so story after reading Dawn of Everything. Hopefully we’ll get along quickly from prehistory to the actual history which is Winchester’s wheelhouse!

I admit I was kind of proud of myself when [something went down] and I immediately knew who did it. And then felt silly for being proud when the established characters present all knew it too. Of course they know it! They know that weasel in real life! I’ve just met him a few times in the plot!
