The point she makes in an aside about how some language’s names are “just names” but some language’s names are “meaningful” is valid, but there must have been a stronger way to make it: I absolutely know what ‘Cicero’ and ‘Caesar’ mean, and while I learned it in a classroom, books have also reiterated it to me. Maybe choose ‘Marcus’ and ‘Julius’, not cognomens?

Geez, how this lady does love her jokes about how gross cousin marriage is. You’re English! Get your own thing, that’s something Americans made up to be different from you, like pronouncing things wrong and having ‘commodore’ as a permanent rank. And more importantly, I understand it wasn’t illegal or gross to the ancient Romans of the time in question, just usually pointless. 🤷🏻‍♀️
