Things are ramping up. I'm enjoying this.

Latest audiobook. A prequel of sorts to Star Wars: Rebels.

This is a denser read than I had expected. So it'll take longer than a typical novel of this length, but despite some early confusion, I'm enjoying it at this point.

Just started, but pretty dense at the beginning.

Intriguing start to this one.

The narrative is picking up (finally!)

Only read one chapter last night, but at least it had Ender in it. Although it didn't improve the incredibly slow narrative at all...

104 pages in and no Ender yet :/

Been listening to this audio drama on and off the past 2 weeks.

Fascinated by the topic of translation at this point.

I'm really enjoying this so far.

Started slow, but started to get better when it focused on Ender.

I'm really not feeling this one early on. :(

I should finish today. Some positives, some negatives; we'll see how it ends.

Enjoying it a lot, but feel the story is winding down at about halfway, so I'm curious to see where it's going.

A mesmerizing start.

I only read about 30 pages last night, but this book has hooked me already!

After reading a lot of the drier, historical Tolkien recently, it's been fun to enjoy this often whimsical collection of short fiction.

Early on in my reread of these three books, I see Wayne a little differently early on for some reason.

Listening a bit more this week. The plot finally went somewhere interesting!

Highly compelling start to this one

Big plot turn in my reading session last night. It made me think about Abercrombie's plot turns, and how they are so different from other authors. I feel it's primarily that for Abercrombie, a plot turn is not a PLOT device, but more a CHARACTER device, as his plot turns almost 100% of the time are driven by a character's motivations, rather than a device of plot. It makes them inherently more plausible.
