There are excellent bits in this book, but I keep getting bogged down in the 937 named characters to keep track of and in Lymond's elaborate dialogue, which is full of untranslated quotes and proverbs. Also, yes, I'm aware he has cornflower-blue eyes, Ms. Dunnett, you're reaching fanfic-levels of eye-color obsession here.
