Rereading this and I still don’t understand Xaden’s logic for making HER ask the questions instead of being honest. Help.

I understand that this closes up loose ends re: Varrish…. But this mission seems to be a bit of a filler. Like yes it’s nice that Cat is bonding with Violet… but was this really crucial? Could it have been done earlier, like when they were all going up the cliffs together and there were wyvern?

Side note - I don’t understand why people are shipping Andarna with Aaric’s Blue dragon? There’s no hints to them being mated at all so far…

I’m enjoying this more than the first time I read it 🩷🤷🏼‍♀️

What a chapter - what a cliffhanger (pun intended).

The tension? The fighting? Xaden FOLDING?? Venin? This book has everything why did I originally rate it 3/5 stars 🙃

1) I did not know that lightning can come FROM the ground wtf.

2) I’m on Xaden’s side about this Tecarus luminary thing. Violet’s being hasty.

I still don’t get why they didn’t try a few more variations for the ward. Like they need SIX ‘lives’… there is SIX (and one) type of dragons… why did they give up so quick 😭

Love to see a Sorrengail reunion 😄

I’ve only just realised that Sloane hates Violet the same way Violet hated Xaden - because they’re the ‘reason’ their brother died. Like I KNEW that was the reason before - but watching the same arc happen again is beautiful to see.

Violet’s been saying some very Xaden-y things about her (in a non-romantic way) and it finally just clicked for me.

CHILLS. I’m loving the action and shenanigans going on. I didn’t realise that Iron Flame is set in Basgiath for at least half of this book - when I first read it, it seemed so much shorter.
