So far, I love this book and the writing. I grew up reading nearly every L. Frank Baum book, and I love how the author incoorperates many characters and places from the original books. I've seen people say it was slow, but have yet to feel that. The chapters are also fairly short, so you can read a chapter if you have a few minutes of down time. So far, a very wicked treat!

So far, love the book. I've noticed some people don't like Cress and Thorne's relationship. I think what makes it interesting is seeing Cress's nativity and show her lust turn into something more. While Kai's perspective is my least favorite, we at least get to see the diplomatic side as well. Interested to see where it goes from here!
