Wooowww has this book been slow-paced for me. The concept is amazing, but the writing style has me feeling a little separated from the characters.

Wow!! I heard a lot of good things about this book on TikTok but I was nervous because hyped books are usually an epic hit or miss.

Fourth Wing boasts a legitimate enemies to lovers(?) Trope, with dragons, a school with only a select number of paths, and of course tension filled energy between our lovely main character and the love interest. The dialogue is snappy and the plot moves along. I love it so far!

Honestly, this book has been a delight so far. Do you like Pride and Prejudice? Witty regency-era banter? What about fae and magic?

I love that this book also has its own version of the changeling concept and oweing debts to the fae and how dangerous that can be.

Very excited to read this! Hygge is something I know the basic definition of but not the whole picture.

Slow and steady. I'm more intrigued now with the story, but the storytelling style is still difficult to read imo.

Not sure how I feel about this so far. The narration style is kind of long-winded and the terms with little annotation numbers that link to definitions at the bottom of the pages really doesn't let me focus on the story. I don't mind some, but when the annotations happen every page or so it gets a little rough.

Oh god, this is the cutest, sweetest little contemporary romance I've read in a long while. Enemies to lovers energy? Yes. Sarcastic, witty clap backs? Yes 🤌 kids just figuring out life and themselves and learning about emotions? Yes

I can't stop grinning at these little cuties.

Kinda cute so far! This book is set in the UK, so it has some slang but the humor is sarcastic which is completely on-brand for me. And who could resist the cover??
