The author got Dominican family background very well. I laughed when Raff says some people call his mother "La Tormenta" (we have an aunt which we call "La Faraona" - same idea) and how Bella thought he was in the dog house with his Mom because they seemed to be yelling at each other and he replied that's the way we talk to each other. My husband said something similar the first time he met my Dominican family.

And this is why you shouldn't have sex indiscriminately. I'm glad somebody is tackling this subject although I wish it would have happened to one of the manwhore heroes.

This is tough!

It took me a while to get into this book but now I'm really loving it! Alex is one of my favorite MC types...he's biggest asset is his mind. But he's learned to fight hand to hand to compensate for his lack of fighting magic.

A shoutout to Harry Dresden in the first page! Hahahaha!

This has been the most exciting book of the bunch! A Marine landing, uncovering the traitors and now it seems they'll make it home! I really thought that was going to happen in the last book but Mr. Campbell likes to show what happens afterwards.
