There are issues here that drag, but I'm still largely digging this iteration of the X-universe.

Harrow's prose is such a delight. It's like sitting with your eyes closed at a hearth-side seat in a quiet inn, belly full of stew and crusty bread, as a masterful bard sings a familiar song with all new words and a melody that penetrates head and heart in equal measure.

Lovegrove's Holmes stories are delightful, and this one is particularly seasonally appropriate. Great stuff thus far.

The art in this is amazing.

I’m now less offended to be called an unfunny, poor facsimile of Nicolas Eames.

I feel like I should love this, but I'm only liking it. Not sure why. The art is great, as is the concept and, generally, the execution.
