I’m almost done? This was a talk book. Maybe some training. Several relationships broke down. But that was it. We had Hap plot line, Starling plot line, Jinna plotline, Chade plotline, Thick plotline, Fool plotline.

A lot of parent-and-teenager-problems in this book.

Chapter 8: A conversation with Chade and a conversation with Jinna.

Inviting a potential murder suspect into your house? When was this book written? Oh, 1982. People sure were trusting back then.

Kinsey reminded me that uncovering a Mystery will not please the person who created the mystery.

It’s nice, everyone is very talkative and open to a random investigator. In terms of plot, I like how every chapter there is one small bit of new Information.

Chapter 1: get the case. Chapter 2: review the case files.

Fitz has obviously forgotten one of the lessons of the first trilogy.

This book might be a little bloated. — “I had not thought it was possible to get wetter, but I did.”

Was this whole book to get Fitz to say ‘yes’?

I’m starting to think children stories and adult stories are the same except one has more words than the other.

Finally, I was wondering when the obvious surprise was coming.

I wish we hadn’t had the foreshadowing. Foretold is forewarned.

Those long paragraphs of world building that is novel and interestingly bizarre but irrelevant and soon forgotten.

“And so the long days of our traveling passed for me.”

I don’t understand this foreshadowing. Why?
