Curious, but I guess the mother coming over is going to be a “complication”?

As fun as this myth is, I don’t know, the only stories I’ve heard is that trying to sleep your way up the ladder doesn’t work.

We got a straight beginning: young professional gets the opportunity of a lifetime. Interview mysterious reclusive old lady: Miss Havisham. Norma Desmond. Mrs. Clennam.

I don’t know. Practicing forbidden magic while the antagonist is seeking evidence of that very same forbidden magic seems like bad advice to me.

This is a fun paragraph. 100 words. There’s some descriptions of the sky, their bodies, the air, the water. It has past actions summarized. It has how they were feeling. Then there’s a few call-backs to earlier chapters hardships: cage, beatings. Then it ends in a physical action: shaking themselves.

I can’t help but have that thought again: “this is what a healthy person imagines.”

It’s funny, after having a tumor grow to such a size as to protrude from my chest, these fight scenes seem very unrealistic. When you have ten out of ten pain, it is nothing like this.

Ugh. New world-building rules right at the end. Seriously?

Fitz is so oblivious sometimes. Also, remember when his body was hurt beyond repair? Funny to think on the inconsistencies.

I was wrong about some of the foreshadowing, I admit it.

This assumed Truth also seems like a good place for an inversion.

Ugh. We have that trope where it’s best to wait before telling someone urgent crucial information.

Oh, I like this ambiguity and uncertainty. I wonder if all these strong assumptions will be true or a future surprise.

This is such an ugly toxic relationship. I hope Fitz and Molly break up, honestly.

I’m kind of tired of Molly’s insecurities and misinterpretations.

I found this book has a lot of spontaneous moments. Fitz just spontaneously decides to walk down to Town, maybe grab a beer.

I wonder what it takes to slow down enough to write a sentence like that.

I’m reminded that weather patterns are at the mercy of the author and are not based on any statistical model.

Um. I was not expecting the Wolve to use his body like that. What a gross idea, author.

I can’t decide if I love or hate this book. But these two obvious timebombs that the main character is oblivious to is not endearing

Also, who put Romeo and Juliet in his book?

You can definitely tell that man did not write this love scene.

Wait, what. Since when does Fitz know enough to advice a new queen on court etiquette? (although i enjoy the novelty of the problems)

So there’s two rules he wants to break: the cub, and the girl. Nothing says coming of age like rule breaking.

I would’ve rather had seen Fitz search for Molly, but The author must’ve thought that a waste of words.
