I think straight people fantasizing about being gay is sort…not right? I mean, gay people get divorce, too, you know?

it’s funny that even in her lesbian fantasy, the author is passive.

obviously, the author feels some kind of shame for having gay thoughts and urges, and maybe somebody needs to give her a hug and tell her she’s enough.

This author is so intensely emerged in social media and television culture that I’m impressed she had time to write this book.

“Thin and less thin” is certainly an interesting way of looking at women.

Why not go into the topic of advertisement industry perpetuating traditional gender roles?

Interesting! I would’ve complained more about when my son was sick (which was an emotional and physical nightmare) instead of the lack of energy to exercise? Now I’m more curious about her psychology than her parenting experiences.

I wish the author would investigate her thoughts a little more than, “she looks hot, and I don’t.” But I’m thinking her targeted audience don’t need the details. This book isn’t for exploration, but validation. This book isn’t for transformation, but for connection.

I guess I’m confused: The author said she had a day job and a nanny and only saw her kid in the evenings, so why would she have feelings of longing when he went to preschool? The routine with her son isn’t clear to me.
