This book is copaganda. I'm disappointed, as I was thoroughly enjoying this book. But for the author to have passages regarding "far too many" cops being killed just for being cops, particularly during everything that is happening culturally, politically, socially right now...Well, let's just say it's a very LOUD statement.

Ah, so Janz describing every pair of breasts he writes is just his MO. Got it.

Ah, so Janz is one of THOSE male authors who finds it necessary to make the reader know EXACTLY how he pictures all the female characters. Got it.

This book is whiplashing between "cops are racist" and "but THESE cops are good!" and I'm not sure I understand the point of the latter. Maybe it will become clearer later on?

The movie made you hate Humperdinck. I find myself enjoying his character and hating Westley here.

I am liking this book, but the misogyny and the fetishizing of Web and his family is really hitting me in the face

Example of the misogyny: "She looks like a page from a coloring book that's been scribbled all over, crumpled up, and thrown in a corner trash can."
This isn't the first description like this. Oh, and he's called a woman a whore. So there's that.

Still unsure how I feel about this one. I enjoy the premise, and the way it's written it is obviously commenting on real world situations, but something is lacking for me but I'm not sure what.
