I'm digging this Star-Trek-with-the-numbers-filed-off setting. Reading this for reasons.

Let's see how this compares to my own work experience.

I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about this book. It's trying to be a lot of things at once, and while it isn't failing at it, it isn't making it either.

I'm actually quite enjoying this novel. It's like chick-lit for guys.

I'm stopping this book. I want to like Junot Diaz, and I do admit I absolutely love his prose, the voice of the young caribeño/americano caught between la isla and the States, but I can't get over the lack of plot and direction in his stories. They're so slice-of-life that they border on the pointless, beautifully-written but plotless.

I'm finding that much as in Oscar Wao, I love Diaz's prose, but find his stories lacking.

I've a feeling that I'm delaying finishing this novel because of how much I'm liking it. So good.

I'm liking this so far, though I wish the essays had been better structured as a collection. A minor quibble, though.

I read articles from the Codex on and off, so it's not like I'm in any rush to finish it. The last article I read was a campaign setup about lesbian noir fiction, so tell about Fate being able to handle any game idea you throw at it!

This novel! It doles out the heartbreak in little doses, and I can't stop reading.

The protagonist of this science-fiction novel is Puerto Rican! That is freaking awesome. Boricuas in space!

The exegesis is this book is fantastic and something every Christian should read.

Loving the backstory to the area that will be known as Twin Peaks. Such geeky delight.
