i kinda keep waiting for it to get better like yes, it's good right now but im 5 years too late to relate to Ari's constant teenage angst, the root of which seems to be not knowing anything about his brother but my problem is the writing is simplistic (i get it, to be accessible) and i don't feel any particular connection to ari and dante they clicked yes but what made them click? i want internal monologues

i am obsessed - really enjoying this.

i really really like how one of our MCs is half-asian and the other is the child of immigrant parents because the differences in how they approach wealth and job prospects is laid out very clearly giving us a perspective about just how different life can be for people due to privileges

I love Eliza. She's not perfect, of course but she never said she was. She has her faults like everyone else but the only thing she questions is that why must her faults overshadow her accolades?

you can feel ellis manipulating and lying

I love the whole aesthetic Ellis represents but every time she opens her mind, she sounds so pseudo-intellectual and you can tell she's using Felicity as a mean to her end.

I think what's happening is so obvious.

So far it's good. My only problem is I think I can predict the end but I'm really enjoying it regardless. It's so atmospheric and giving me "Secret History" vibes with their tiny dorm and Ellis's pantsuits.
