Really losing the will, characters are too plastic, too generic and unbelievable.

Great stuff so far, not since Eriksen has a fantasy book actually challenged me as a reader and made you think put the pieces together.

Good start but something is nagging at me about the books, struggling to get really immersed and not particularly sure why.

I like this, I want to love it, it is clever and witty and very entertaining at times but I can't help but feel the author is over egging things and it is really dragging. I have very little desire to finish this now, will do one day but it will be sitting on the shelf for a bit.

Similar to the first book in the series its a bit stodgy so far, plenty to go though.

Really ramped up quite suddenly (and impressively) be interesting to see where the author takes it.

I'm enjoying the book as I did with the Mistwraith series but I still find myself consistently irritated with how vanilla Sanderson is. "Sparks" "calamity" really? 10 years since the end of the world in which people have a horrible life but one of the upsides of mass destruction is improved elocution and manners? Really? I respect someone's beliefs but when it takes away believability and it really "sparks" me!

More similar to Heroes Die than Blade of Tyshalle. More snappy with elements of introspection that dominated Blade.
