Good start, relief that Mo is not the protagonist.

The main character is trying to draw comparisons to reasons she would feel physically sick. One being finding out her husband is cheating on her.... whilst the prior night she is necking on with another bloke!?

Is the author trying to display her as a repugnant **** or is it his ignorance of anything other than a slovenly middle aged bloke limits his story telling ability?

Thoroughly enjoyable so far.

In my continued attempts to find a series to love I've been recommended this.

Brilliant

Ive been the biggest fan, promoter and defender of SE over time. I'm a true lover of his amazing work but perhaps something has switched in my head as re-reading this and the punishing philosophy it shoves down your throat is painful. It's been untouched for 5 weeks and counting now.

Enjoyable so far, still no time to really read though sadly.

Is it sad that just today I discovered this book was published? Is it even sadder it then ruined my work day knowing it was waiting at home for me to read? I'm an Andrez Bergen junky ever since Tobacco Stained MG and I will devour this book and savour it at once. Good start in the first few pages, as dirty and dishevelled as ever with throw away references that tickle the fancy.

The first book grabbed me by the short and curlies and dragged me along at a breakneck pace. This book, perhaps because I entered with sky high expectations, is not really gripping me so far.

Re read before moving onto Fall of the Light.

I need to go to bed, I've been reading for hours now but can't put this book down. It's took over my mind and i must know what happens next!

I have seen on Amazon UK that "All the Worlds a Stage" by the fantastic Boris alumni may be getting an English translation and released in 2017. So excited I just upset the wife telling her this was the most exciting moment of my life! Anyone else heard this and even better have/can find a source for this?

Sensing a stylistic change in Esselmomts writing so far which I'm enjoying.

Solid start, liking seeing Shadowthrone in his early days though Dancer is a little uninspiring.

Timeline fail? At the start Pandora unleashed evil around 8000 or so years BC, yet a bit later they are talking about Zeus and the Greeks setting her up?!

As she said, she remembered, with a well hidden smile, the name of the incident, and hoped her reading habits.... Urgh, seriously? Death by comma!

Enjoying this a lot more than the first.

Much better so far, poorly framed at the start time wise so I couldn't work out if it was pre or post escape but a solid start all the sane. The few Britton chapters are still irritating.

I've realised what is that is annoying me, it's the main character. I LOVE AMERICA, I hate America, I LOVE AMERICA, I hate America. He's so irritatingly inconsistent, he comes across very emo. Still very readable but really disliking the protagonist.

Enjoying this. Something niggling me about it which is stopping me really getting into it but overall a good read so far.

Quite enjoying this, it has jumped around a fair bit so seen very little character development but it has certainly set the scene!

Picked this up after seeing a good review from Mark Lawrence whose books I like. Had a spare minute and thought I would read the first page or two to get a feel, ended up late for an appointment after losing track of time and devouring the first chapter. Good start!
