One shouldn't mistake my rapid progress for interest; rather, the story was written on a fifth-grade reading level. Perhaps I'm being harsh. All the same, my critique today is that the author's zealous over-narration leaves no room for humor. The author explains every aspect of the narrative with the energy of an unpopular high schooler on Adderall.

So far so bad. I'm working on keeping as neutral as I can on the story until it's told, so I'll stick to the writing. It's bad. The author switches from third-person omniscient to first-person omniscient frequently and without warning, which is jarring. The book begins with an absurd medley of events that lend to confusion. Dialogue is clunky. I'm learning a lot from this book so far.

C.S. Lewis is so creative- every book is a continuation of the story, but unique in its own way. Love it so far.
