Just now realizing that this is written in first person and I wish I had Charlie’s point of view.

A realization clangs through me, chaotic and emphatic as church bells: the reason his smell is so familiar. It’s the same subtle gender-neutral cologne I wear. A cedarwood and amber blend called BOOK, meant to summon images of sunbathed shelves and worn pages. When I found out the company was going under, I put in a bulk order so I could stockpile it.

It’d be Moschino Toy Boy: pink pepper, rose and sandalwood

“We can share my umbrella.”

Nora’s so blind. She doesn’t even see the wit.

Ignore my updates on books I’ve already read. I want my annotations in my physical books to be on my GoodReads so that I can have them electronically. I’m also putting them in my Apple Books since I have yet to get a Kindle.

Witty bane between Nora and Charlie💕

Grant is the son of a billionaire hotel mogul. “Raised with a silver spoon” doesn’t even begin to cover it. He probably had gold-leaf toilet paper.
For Grant, college was a formality. Internships were a formality. Hell, wearing pants was a formality! He got his job through sheer nepotism.
Which is precisely what makes his last comment so rich, both figuratively and literally.

This is great writing.
