Chapter One read. So far it’s better than Declan’s book.

“It said I have a boyfriend. And as far as I can remember, nobody has asked me to be their girlfriend.”

“How about… I still go on my vacation because he won’t be there the whole time because he needs to leave early for a game. But, if his head starts spinning or he starts speaking in tongues, I’ll let you put me on a flight.”

CACKLING!! Hannah Grace must be Pentecostal or Christian, I loved that line.

“My instincts are telling me to say I don’t need their help, that I’ll do it all on my own. But in reality, that isn’t what I want. I need help and I need support, and having a group of friends who offer that is what I’ve always wanted.”

This is one of my absolute favorite things that men do.

It is 4:34am and I have to leave the house by 6:15. I have yet to go to sleep because I’ve been up reading this book. Henry and Justin from “Just for the Summer” must be cousins.

DEAR GOD! Where is my husband?! I have been patient and obedient, I think.

The way I just kicked my feeeeet! Only women can write men like this. Where are the men God created like this? It simply can’t be just our imagination!!

Still in Chapter One, but Hannah has written Halle too similar to me. I feel like I’ve annotated the entire chapter.

Well… I think I’m going to have to sue Hannah Grace for writing about me. I want to add my highlights and annotations, but it’d be all of chapter one. She even discussed me in the dedication and the author’s note/letter.

Grant raised a great question. How is he supposed to get Jefferson to know he’s lived as a man, when he himself hasn’t?

I see now why the word “ fool” isn’t allowed in the black community.
