If we keep going in a straight line, we’ll get out of here…It’s about the determination to keep walking forward.

It’s okay to be the teacup with a chip in it, that’s the one with the story. It’s okay to be sentimental and whimsical and cry bittersweet tears at songs and movies you aren’t suppose to love. It’s okay to like what you like.

Be kind to yourself.

We can be gentle and self-controlled.

Not be jerked around by our swirling, chaotic thoughts.

Help me see things not as they seem to be but as they truly are.

The vast majority of us find it easier to be mad than hurt. Not only is it easier to express anger than it is to express pain, our culture is more accepting of anger. So the next time you are shutting down or angry ask yourself what lies beneath.

At the end of the day, at the end of the week, at the end of my life I want to say that I contributed more than I criticized.

The average person has more than 30,000 thoughts per day, of those so many are negative that according to researchers the vast majority of the illness that plaque us today are a direct result of our toxic thought lives.

Instead of trying to take every thought captive we took just one thought captive.

I will go back to school and learn more about our world and the cosmos beyond it, not for financial gain but because the pursuit of knowledge is itself noble.

Too many people say too many things and I wish they would stop.
