"Happy Annual Fake Dick-Chopping-Off Day" is not something I would have expected to read

One chapter in and I already can tell that I'm going to reread this a thousand times and always find something new.

Reading the scene where it all starts, piece by piece, to fall apart for Ned is still impressive

It's been so long since I've read this that I've forgotten how rich the world is in the these books.

Back to this old chestnut

"Cassandra" is hitting pretty close to home here, Mr. Gaiman.

"If God is supposed to be merciful, I don't see why He shouldn't allow people to stumble into heaven, just as well as climb there"b

"Did you think that I who've given my life to service of the Atreides would give them less now?"

This book is well-paired with a dictionary, in a good way.

"We will woo the formidable Thufur Hawat"

Still unconvinced that "Wolfgang" is a good name for a bunny but otherwise I am all in on this book

Oh. Well, there it is.

The last thirty pages of this book are going to have to be the most densely packed I've ever read in order to give all that foreshadowing a good payoff.

These are some of the most unsettling aliens I've read.

Four pages in. Already immensely pleased. Good.

After five and half years and fifty-plus monthly issues, this is the volume when it all comes together. This achievement is staggering.

This author has a really cool idea in his head but also has the bad habit of assuming that your mind works exactly like his does, so he isn't stopping to tell you what that idea actually is.
