"They-" - A man in an asylum accuses his doctor of belonging to a conspiracy to fabricate the world in order to deceive him. Three and a half stars.

The confrontation with Sammael and Illian takes significantly less time than l remembered. It's cool, but...after three books of build up, l would have expected more.

Elayne has never done anything that justified her existence enough to make reading the way she acts bearable.

This may be a filler book, but there's a lot of character interactions l had forgotten about that l really enjoy.

The gathering of forces leading up to the battle of Dumai's Wells is my favorite part of the whole series. Jordan may have no clue how to write women, but when he starts bringing together the rescue force, it's as powerful as anything in Return of the King.

This is the book where the mystique of the Forsaken starts to decay. The first 3 books, they're terrifying super beings from the ancient past whose presence means horrible things are about to happen. Then this book happens and they get a massive downgrade. It's a shame, really. Poor Asmodean. He never even had a chance to be badass.

I forget, does Perrin not appear in this book? He goes from his best arc in the series, to not there, and then to Faile assuming her role as The Worst of All Things. Poor guy.

The Wheel of Time turns, and pages come and pass. What was read, what will be read, and what is being read may yet get skipped so I can read the new one.
