His last few books haven't shown any excitement, but that's to be expected when the publisher won't let you write about anything else. At least the beginning of this is great quality.

Glad I read these out of order. I find the story more enjoyable this way.

I liked the Shotgun Arcana enough to look for more.

I didn't read the first one, but this is all right. Fallen angels, monsters, the Old West, and someone on a killing spree. Not what you see everyday.

Who knew a book that started out with the Donner Party could turn into something pretty spectacular? There are a lot of moving parts, but I dig the story so far.

My guilty pleasure. Love the Horus Heresy, even though most of the characters die in each book and it is a total slaughterfest.

Some stories are great, others worthy of being skipped over. It is interesting to think the original story had the apes on a planet like ours and just as civilized.

Some of the stories are a little hard to get in to, but I grew up with the original movies and have a special place in my heart for them.

Not as much action as others Star Wars books, but Thrawn is always about tactics. Great look into the development of this classic character.

I always liked this character- amazed Disney let him stand considering they axed almost everything else before buying the franchise.

Being a 101st Airborne vet myself, I am enjoying this story. War is hell, my friends.
