As all of his books, Bridges lays everything on the bottom shelf while remaining theologically precise. He was one of the first men to make Owen accessible and desirable to read!

My second time through this book in about 6 years, as it is being used for discipleship. Very helpful. Very biblical. Gospel-fueled.

So far some decent points, but not exegetical at all, which is ironically one of CC’s core realities.

Pretty stunned to see a few jabs at Reformed theology. And, even promoting Calvary as having a new (better?) era than that of Martin Luther…
