Is it just me, or is it odd that a fish and wildlife officer is head of a serial murder investigation? Even with the bodies being found on a mountain, it just seems strange.

Is it weird that I'm a tad put off by his love for women? Feels just a little creepy.

This is not what I was expecting. It still feels a little slow and heavy, and I'm not quite sure if I like it or not, but it's not because it's not well written.

I'm about 30% through the audio. It's been a slow start, but there's still time to hook me. We'll see....

Ngl, I was a little put off when Naomi (MFC) hit on her married friend. She isn't super likable. I think it is a matter of self-destructive behavior stemming from her childhood traumas. Not that it makes it better, but I guess it helps explain her attitude and actions. Regardless, her disregard for people doesn't exactly endear her to me.

Now we're introduced to an Indigo who speaks as whimsically as our twins. I mean, this has gotten a little out of hand.

I'm really wanting to enjoy this. Really. But can rocks really be flower bulbs if you wish hard enough? Would you really plant a rock every place you've turned trick so that something beautiful would grow? It's so much. So much whimsical thinking. I get that the author is also a poet, but this constant fantastical storytelling feels like too much.

Why are all of the character names so twee? Daffodil, Aracade, Grassy? Just to name a few...
