I love the language in this one. I think being from the South myself, I like listening to books that take place here. It's comforting to hear books being read in the smooth drawl. Reminds me of listening to stories from my grandparents (my Paw Paw in particular).

As soon as she dressed in a gown for a gala, I knew there would be some pretense for her to visit X. Mmm hmmm...

I like the inclusion of using natural remedies that are available to you. Can't find nausea medicine? Fine. Just make some with what you can find along the road.

I really like how Lana is not attracted to our MM alien baddie right off the bat. In fact, he terrifies her. Definitely feels more realistic.

I'm FINALLY "reading" this via audio. I've had the physical book for YEARS and am super excited to start it. I love that she grew up on the MS Coast. Gotta support our local talent. Loving the book so far 🖤

What a mother

As much as I want to love this, I'm having a hard time staying invested. I like this type of story, but I don't think I'm connecting with the MCs.

36% of the way in, and the MFC and the MMC haven't technically met yet. Interesting...

I have no idea if I'm enjoying this or not. It's an odd one. I like the journal format, but I'm not sure how I feel about Earthseed.
