"I've never been on a celebrity gossip site before except once when there was a red carpet shot of me for the Grammys", says the Grammy-winning musician. LOL that's pretty hard to believe. I mean the last Alt Grammy winners were: St Vincent, Vampire Weekend, Gotye, Bon Iver, The Black Keys, Phoenix, Radiohead and Gnarls Barkley. They're on gossip sites ALL THE TIME

This book is fucked up, yo. Seriously. I'm not even rooting for the romance. That girl needs some serious mental health care, she does NOT need a boyfriend.

4%- What is it with romance novels and promiscuous heroes? I think it's so offputting... esp. in historicals (wouldn't the fellow just end up riddled w/ stds?). I esp. don't like when they look down on the women they slept w/ and then are captivated by the virginal heroine. THIS book would have been perfect for a more or less chaste hero. He pined for Win since FOREVER but also slept with every1? thats not v romantic

oh well, Early Christianity was unaccountably dull - all those "Church Fathers" trying to pass their own terrible misogynistic opinions as Christ's own, even when it ran directly contrary to his word/actions. but Late Christianity was a hoot to read about. you got amazing people like the Beguines and Mary Ward, and absolutely bat-shit insane people like caterina de siena. like, seriously, cray.
